Grace Keating

Grace Keating is a Marketing & Communications Specialist at Center of the American Experiment.


Grace graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College (St. Peter, MN) summa cum laude with a degree in Communication Studies and minors in Political Science and English. She’s written for several online and print publications, including The College Fix, Enterprise Minnesota, and Thinking Minnesota. Grace first joined the Center as an intern, working intermittently for two years while earning her degree.

Kathryn Johnson

Kathryn Johnson is the Development Director at Center of the American Experiment.


Kathryn previously served as the Center’s Event Coordinator for three years. She put on over 100 events for tens of thousands of attendees.


Before joining the Center, Kathryn participated in the Young Leaders Program at The Heritage Foundation, where she worked in the Special Events department.

Kathryn graduated from St. Olaf College in 2019, with a degree in Political Science and Media Studies. During her time there, she was elected President of the St. Olaf College Republicans. She was later elected state Chairwoman of the Minnesota College Republicans, where she oversaw 17 chapters across the state. She also served as a Student Representative on the college’s Institute for Freedom and Community Director’s Board. Kathryn has been featured on Fox News, PBS, and other national and local media discussing her work as a student activist.

Bill Walsh

Bill Walsh is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Center of the American Experiment.


Prior to joining American Experiment, Walsh worked for twenty-five years in a variety of political and communications positions with the Minnesota Senate, House, the Republican Party of Minnesota, and as communications director for two different state agencies in Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s administration.


Walsh has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Dakota and was elected to the White Bear Lake City Council in 2015 and reelected in 2019. Walsh has three grown children.

Isaac Velgersdyk

Isaac Velgersdyk is a Digital Media Production Specialist at American Experiment.


Isaac graduated from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul where he played basketball and tennis for the Eagles, graduating with a degree in Marketing and Graphic Design. Prior to joining the Center, he worked as the Director of Marketing for Gemini Athletic Wear and volunteered on various local campaigns.
